Our home is situated in a quiet street in the middle of "Südliche Weinstrasse", a region with very nice villages, vineyards everywhere and a very mild climate.

A wonderful place for hiking, climbing or mountain biking in the "Pfälzer Wald" (15 min away) with lots of old castles and climbing rocks.

25 km to Speyer (Cathedral), Holiday Park (big theme park), Rhine river and the French border, 60 km to Black Forest, Worms (cathedral) and the famous Heidelberg, 100 km to Stuttgart, Straßbourg, Frankfurt. Or you can go to one of the many wine festivals nearby.

Only 10 min walk to "La Ola", a big indoor water park with sauna facilities.

15 min walk to central station, 30 min to airport Karlsruhe-Baden (Ryanair), 60 min to the airports in Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Saarbrücken, Straßbourg, 90 min to Frankfurt-Hahn (Ryanair) and Basel.

Our house (160 m2) is bright and airy with all modern conveniences (SAT-TV, DVD, PC with unlimited DSL, washing machine, dryer, microwave, oven, freezer). Outside there is a terrace and a sunny garden. We have 4 large bedrooms, 2 baths, a large living room, and a well equipped kitchen with another dining table.

The English school holidays dates, when we can be interested in an exchange:

20 Dec. 2007 - 07 Jan. 2008 - *WE HAVE EXCHANGE*;
21 March - 29 March 2008 - *WE HAVE EXCHANGE*;
24 - 31 May 2008;
SUMMER 2008 from mid July.

Also OPEN to long-weekend swaps in the UK and Europe.

We are 34 km (20 miles) NW of London - within easy access of the main London ring road. You can take the train (20 min.) or the tube (30-40 min.) to central London.

Our house - a detached 2 (or 3) bedroom bungalow in a secluded private drive - is comfortable and spacious with a large mature garden. It is always peaceful and quiet here - no traffic noise and we have very friendly neighbours. It is also suitable for babies and young children – with a conservatory/playroom full of toys, books and videos.

The town centre is 15 minutes walk away with shopping, market, cafes and restaurants. Historic towns like St. Albans and Hatfield are both within an easy drive/bus journey. Oxford, Windsor and Cambridge are all within an hour's drive away and well worth a visit.

Nearest airports are Heathrow (30 min by car), Luton (35 min) and Stansted, City (60 min) which all provide low cost flights.
